Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released Advertisement No. 17-Exam/2026 for the Livestock Extension Officer (LEO) / Pashudhan Prasar Adhikari Main Examination 2026. A total of 1,251 regular and special/backlog vacancies are available under the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department. Candidates who appeared in UPSSSC PET 2025 and hold a valid scorecard, along with the required 2-year Livestock Extension Diploma, can apply online from 9 September to 29 September 2026 at upsssc.gov.in. The age limit is 21–40 years as on 1 July 2026, with relaxation for reserved categories and other eligible candidates under UP Government rules. The selection process includes shortlisting based on normalized PET 2025 scores, followed by a 100-mark objective Main Examination, Document Verification and Medical Examination. The written test will contain 100 questions to be completed in 2 hours, with ¼ negative marking: Animal Husbandry and Livestock Extension – 65 marks, Computer and Information Technology – 15 marks, and General Information Related to Uttar Pradesh – 20 marks. The application processing fee is ₹25 for all categories.
