Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released CEN No. 04/2026 for 4,029 vacancies of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) across 21 Railway Zones of Indian Railways. The online application process started on 14 August 2026 and the last date to apply is 13 September 2026 (23:59 hrs). Eligible candidates must hold a 3-year Diploma in Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the relevant discipline and should be between 18 and 33 years of age as on 1 January 2027 (with applicable age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India norms). The selection process consists of Computer-Based Test-I (CBT-I), Computer-Based Test-II (CBT-II), Document Verification and Medical Examination. Selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level 6 of the 7th Central Pay Commission with an initial basic pay of ₹35,400 per month plus allowances. Application fee is ₹500 for General/EWS/OBC candidates and ₹250 for SC/ST/Female/PwBD candidates (exempted for PwBD as per rules). Candidates can apply online at the official RRB portal rrbapply.gov.in by selecting CEN No. 04/2026, completing registration, filling personal and educational details, uploading photograph/signature/documents, selecting preferred RRB and post, and paying the fee via net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI.
